Steps

  1. Make sure each player returns their tracer to its assigned spot.
  2. Make sure each tracer is connected in its slot properly.
  3. Turn off the Trace Case by clicking the stop button in the bottom right corner.
  4. Zip it up as take it home to upload

FAQ

What if a Tracer won’t stop blinking? 
By holding the side button, you can manually turn off any Tracer.

Turn Off Trace Cam

Steps

  1. Lower your Trace Cam.
  2. Open the Trace Teams app and find the game you are currently tracing. Click the camera icon to access the Sound Sync feature.
  3. Hold your phone close to your Trace Cam while you sound sync.
  4. Make sure you hear a loud whistle to signal you have synced properly for the second time.
  5. Unplug Trace Cam from the battery source. This will stop recording and turn off both cameras.
  6. Unscrew trace cam from your tripod.
  7. Pack up Trace Cam.

Enter Game Info

It is extremely important to enter all the info so that your game is processed correctly.

Steps

  1. Open the Trace Teams app and find the game you are currently tracing. Tap the notepad icon to access your game information.
  2. Here keep track of opponent name, goals scored, jersey color, date, start time, half length, case #, cam #, and more.

Can I do this at the end of the game? 
You can do this during or after the game. Just make sure you complete this page before upload.

Record Coach Notes

Coach notes is a flexible way to tag a game in real-time by using your voice. You can take notes for specific players or game events, like goals and corners. Every note you take will be automatically added to your coach notes video playlist so that players can jump. to that moment in the game video.

Steps

  1. Open the Trace Teams app and find the game you are currently tracing. Tap the microphone icon.
  2. Press and hold the red button to record audio.
  3. Tap on any transcription to edit your coach note.

FAQ

I’m used to using physical notes – any tips for using Coach Notes? 
Since Coach Notes is a great way to bookmark notable moments, many of our coaches love to record a coach note during corner kicks, penalties, and goals getting scored.

Can I edit a Coach Note after the game has been uploaded? 
You cannot edit any Coach Note after data upload. We recommend you edit any transcription before this time.

Distribute Tracers

Let’s distribute Tracers to your team. You should have filled out your roster by now which means that every player has a Tracer number assigned to them. Your roster is accessible on your Trace Teams App.

Steps

  1. Press the REC button on the bottom right of your Trace Case to turn on your Tracers
  2. Make sure every Tracer is on and blinking red
  3. Open your trace teams app and click the icon with the two players
  4. Call out names and distribute tracers.
  5. Tracers are worn behind the calf on the dominant leg
  6. Put the Tracer into the sleeve with the blinking light facing up
  7. Wrap the sleeve around your leg
  8. Any unused tracers can be turned off by clicking the stop button in the bottom right corner.
  9. Put your case aside, somewhere safe.

What if a Tracer didn’t turn on? 
Press and hold the button on the side of the Tracer to manually turn on it on.

What happens if I need to switch the lineup in my roster? 
You can open the Roster tab in your Trace Teams app and tap to edit any player assignment.

Turn on Trace Cam

Let’s go over how to turn on Trace Cam before your game.

Steps

  1. Secure your tripod 5 large steps (15 feet) from the centerline
  2. Mount and secure your Trace Cam
  3. Check to make sure your battery is fully charged
  4. Plug both USB cables into the battery pack.
  5. You will see a large red [REC] that should appear on both screens.
  6. Open the Trace Teams app and find the game you are currently tracing. Tap the camera icon to access the Sound Sync feature.
  7. Hold your phone close to your Trace Cam while you sound sync.
  8. Make sure you hear a loud whistle to signal you have synced properly.
  9. Raise the tripod and aim your camera so that the back of the battery is parallel to the field sideline.
  10. Now you’re ready to enjoy your game.
