How to Trace
After your game, the next thing to do is upload your Tracer and Trace Cam data so we can process and send your game results. Once everything is set up you can walk away and let the case upload your data.

You will need
Before the Upload
You need to connect your Trace Case to wifi. Trace works best on a fast home or wifi connection. Once you connect, the Trace Case will remember your wifi for future uploads.
1. Plug your case into a wall outlet
We recommend allowing the Case to charge for 20-30 minutes prior to uploading.
2. Plug your Trace Cam into the USB ports
Plug your Trace Cam into the USB ports in the upper right-hand corner of your Trace Case.
3. Press the Transfer Button
Press the [Transfer Button] at the top left-hand corner of your Trace Case. The case takes 30-60 seconds to power up.
When the case is on you will notice that the following:
- Transfer icons are blinking
- The Tracers lights are blinking
- Both cameras screens show:

4. Monitoring your upload
Check the case screen in your Trace Teams iOS app for upload status.
*Your phone does not need to be next to your case for the upload to work. You can check your upload status from anywhere.
5. Game Results
After your upload is complete your game will start processing. This can take 6 or more hours.
When your game results are ready you, and everyone on the team roster, will receive an email with links to the results.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my game taking longer than it usually does?
On busier weekends it may take a little longer for your game to process. We do have humans monitoring the system to make sure your game is processing, if your game does have an issue, someone from Trace will reach out to you!
